Microsoft launches Windows Mobile Marketplace web store allowing consumers to access the Marketplace from their browser.

As promised, Microsoft has launched their Windows Mobile Marketplace web store following the release of Windows Mobile 6.5. Previously the marketplace was only accessible through a client on Windows Mobile 6.5 devices.

An application is also in the works making the marketplace accessible on devices running Windows Mobile 6.0 and 6.1 with a Fall/Winter 2009 release date.
